  EPG Health Media, specialists in e-communication solutions and digital publishing for the health sector, today announced the launch of a new interactive Atopic Dermatitis knowledge centre. The new resource is hosted on www.epgonline.org an online medical education resource for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).

  Healthcare professionals are faced with a huge challenge of diagnosing, assessing severity and risk and selecting and monitoring treatment. EPGOnline together with our Osteoporosis partner Novartis Pharma AG  aim to assist in improving patient care, and increase awareness amongst physicians and patients, of this condition.

• Social Media and Healthcare: How do HCPs, Patients/Consumers and Pharma use social media in relation to health?
  This 25 page report is based on market research conducted by EPG during Feb-March 2010 comparing HCP, patient/consumer and Pharma responses to 10 questions related to their use of social media for health. It provides a snap-shot of both current and future trends and opportunities in the digital social space.

• EPG Online website for doctors launches new user-generated article submission service
  New for 2010, the feature will allow registered users of EPG Online to upload their own medical or health related research articles, to be published on the website at no cost.

• Soft Tissue Sarcoma (STS) Knowledge Centre is launched on EPG website for doctors
  The Soft Tissue Sarcoma (STS) Knowledge Centre on the EPG Online website aims to provide healthcare professionals with the latest, most up-to-date information regarding the disease and its management. Information includes classification of STS, clinical presentation, diagnosis and appropriate management options.

• Italian drug data goes live on the EPG Online
  The EPG Online drug data enables the user to browse the index of medicines for prescription & label information, side effects, dosage, drug interactions, adverse reactions, this function has now become available in Italian.

• Low Testosterone Project (Sponsored by Bayer Schering) goes live on EPG Patient Direct.

• EPG Health Media exhibited at the Eyeforpharma Pharma Marketing Summit 2009
  Held on 22 - 23 October 2009 in Berlin, Germany. Well done to Eyeforpharma for organising another great event, and congratulations to Mark Van Hattum from Novartis, who won the EPG prize draw for a Nintendo Wii with games selection.

• EPG Health Jobs goes live on website for doctors.
  ‘EPG Health jobs’ has been developed to present the latest medical healthcare jobs within the UK, Europe and internationally. The online recruitment section enables employers and agencies to reach their target market of HCPs and provides candidates the opportunity to search a database of jobs using a combination of various criteria, including medical specialty, location, salary, hours and keywords.
   
• Portuguese drug data goes live on EPG Online.
  The EPG Online drug data enables the user to browse the index of medicines for prescription & label information, side effects, dosage, drug interactions, adverse reactions. this function has now become available in Portuguese.

• EPG Online gain confirmation of a new Parkinson’s partner in Solvay
  A diagnosis of Parkinson's disease (PD) can be difficult as, in common with other central nervous system degenerative disorders, PD begins insidiously.
   
• The new Women's Health banner, funded by Bayer Schering soon to be added to EPG Online. 

August 

• New to EPG Online are Eisai who will be supporting an Epilepsy resource.
   
• EPG Online welcome the new face in Bristol Myers Squibb with an Immunotherapy affiliate search. 
   
• EPG Online secure a Neuropathic Pain project with Astellas and following the launch of the NPC resource with Actelion, they have now renewed for another year.

• EPG Online are pleased to announce the new Cholesterol knowledge centre in partnership with Pfizer.
  Diagnosing and managing coronary heart disease (CHD) can be challenging. In most patients, it takes years or even decades before the underlying coronary pathology leads to clinical manifestations.

• New Cystic Fibrosis knowledge centre
  The launch of the cystic fibrosis knowledge centre is to coincide with the 32nd European Cystic Fibrosis Conference, which takes place this year 10th-13th June in Brest, France. On this project EPG Online partner with Novartis Pharma AG to add to the existing knowledge centre library on EPG Online.

• Eyeforpharma’s '4th Annual eMarketing Summit'
  EPG Health Media attend in Munich on the 27^th-28^th. Congratulations to Eyeforpharma on a successful event and to Mark Petersen from Boehringer Ingelheim, who won the EPG prize draw for a brand new Netbook laptop.
   
• A new partnership has been established between EPG Online and Pfizer with relation to the new Cholesterol knowledge centre. This new partnership will extend the EPG Online knowledge centre library and is due to be launched on the 4th May.
  
• EPG Health Media are pleased to annouce the new partnership between Novartis (Rasilez) and EPG Online to bring the new Hypertension knowledge centre to EPG Online.

• Contraception Knowledge Centre launched on EPG website for doctors.
  The launch of the contraception knowledge centre in the UK coincided with the Family Planning Association (FPA) Contraception Awareness Week, which takes place each year during the week of St. Valentine’s Day. 

January

• Interim results from the MIRACEL study now reported in the Renal Anaemia disease knowledge centre at EPG Online.
  MIRACEL is the first real-life study to investigate switching the treatment of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients on dialysis from commonly used shorter-acting erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs) directly to the once monthly administration of the drug Mircera^®, using pre-filled syringes.
