This position is sales focused, involving telephone and face-to-face meetings in the UK and internationally. The key requirements for the role are experience in a similar role in medical communications and a proven track record of winning business.

They will be a confident communicator and presenter, capable of building rapport and fostering professional relationships within the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry.

In order to be considered for this exciting vacancy, the candidate must fulfill the following:

  • A graduate with at least three years sales experience
  • Minimum one year experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or medical communications agency environment
  • A flexible and naturally enquiring, consultative approach
  • Skilled communicator (spoken and written English)
  • Demonstrable project/account management track record
  • Comfortable working in a digital environment, selling digital and online products and services
  • Comfortable with medical and marketing terminology
  • Determined, motivated and proactive

SALES/BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – ASIA PACIFIC

Role:
‘Hands On’ Media/Advertising/Sponsorship Sales – Emphasis is new business development - office based.

Selling to Asia Pacific/Global Director and Senior Management level, the candidate will be responsible for the sourcing and generation of new business. Take responsibility for sales growth under the guidance of senior management.

Client base is Asia/Regional/Global therefore sales are primarily driven via telephone contact and occasional requirement to meet/travel

Personal characteristics

The candidate needs to be a confident and experienced user of telephone and a sales pitch. Someone who enjoys taking the initiative and setting/leading the agenda, a natural ‘closer’.

Must be computer literate to Microsoft Office (Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint) standards, ideally comfortable with writing proposals and preparing presentations.
