Digital Project Manager
EPG produces digital and online content for it’s clients, either as stand alone digital projects (websites and email activities) or as online content (micro-sites) published within a framework of major healthcare websites that we publish.
We require a digital project manager to assist in the execution and delivery of content projects on behalf of our clients. The role involves managing each stage of the project development process, from client briefing to liaison with the development team during build phase, through to liaison with sales and business development pre and post online launch. Typically 6 to 8 projects are in development (at varying stages) at any one point in time.
Main Job Purpose
- To ensure that all internal and client-based web projects are delivered to customers within the timescales and to the quality expected. You will also lead the Development team on a per project basis.
The development team consists of two web developers (including a lead), one part time developer and – typically – external agencies and freelance staff. Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with customers to identify and understand their business requirement and objectives for the project.
- Define the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project, and manage their development and delivery.
- Prepare all required documentation which include a project brief, project structure, timelines and project status/completion reports
- To estimate and plan projects from start to finish, with built in contingencies.
- Liaise with customers, external agencies/suppliers and development team to ensure roles and responsibilities are defined, and that no work is overlooked or duplicated.
- Manage the communication flows between all involved parties in the project.
- Take responsibility for the overall progress of the project, use of resources and timelines initiating corrective action where necessary.
- To ensure that each project is appropriately scheduled and delivered within the agreed financial requirements of the customer and meets customer expectations.
- Manage, monitor and motivate the cross functional team assigned to each project
Skills / Attributes Required
- A proven track record of successful project implementation in a business to business environment. Experience in online digital projects essential
- Team/people management experience
- Excellent client facing and telephone skills
- Experience of the whole project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage, in the depths of website testing, and at each stage in between
- Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to motivate the project team to meet tight deadlines.
- The ability to have a strong impact and influence key decisions in order to solve problems efficiently.
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Knowledge of MS Project and Prince 2 an advantage

Media/Advertising/Sponsorship Sales - Emphasis is new business development office/telephone based with occasional travel.
Role Selling to Director and Senior Management level, the candidate will be responsible for the sourcing and generation of new business. Take responsibility for sales growth under the guidance of senior management.
Client base is EU/Global therefore sales are primarily driven via telephone contact and occasional requirement to meet/travel

Personal characteristics We are looking for a go-getter, enthusiastic, motivated, positive, self-starter happy to work individually or within a team. Initial coaching will be given however you will already have some digital media and business to business sales experience.
The candidate needs to be both a confident and experienced user of the telephone and a sales pitch, but equally comfortable presenting face to face. A person who enjoys taking the initiative and setting/leading the agenda. Pitching and closing business should be second nature. Must be computer literate to Microsoft Office (Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint) standards and comfortable with writing proposals.
Results driven with strong entrepreneurial spirit, assertive, highly motivated, ambitious.
Energetic, well presented, professional, eloquent, confident.
Experience Minimum 3 years commercial experience, graduate preferred.
Knowledge of pharma/healthcare sectors advantageous but not essential.

Business environment Growing business established in 2000. Nine people are currently UK office based with a further 3-4 freelance staff/contractors working outside of the office environment.
Office hours are 9 to 5.30 Monday to Friday. Company is idea-driven, dynamic, innovative and market responsive, specialises in ecommunications and digital publishing for healthcare professionals and consumers/patients.
Also provides market research, corporate e-marketing, campaign and web development/consultancy.
Salary Salary circa 20 to 25K dependent on experience + OTE commission of 26K uncapped.
Holiday 24 days paid leave.
