- 07. How do you ensure the site is optimized for search engines?
- Much of the data within EPGOnline is already in the public domain and so - with appropriate on-screen warnings/notifications - can be made available via search engines. By most standards, with more than 110,000 pages of content, EPGOnline is a very large website so we can’t always guarantee that every single page of content will be indexed. For example, it varies but Google tends to index and show search results for between 27,500 and 48,000 pages of EPGOnline content at any one time. For certain areas of the site, for example our disease knowledge centres, international regulations governing the way medical information is distributed prevent us from using search engine optimisation.
